The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the muezzin makes the call to prayer, repeat after him what he says."

Sourcing, hasan. Tirmidhi mentioned it without a full chain, hadith 208. Zuhri used "an" without specifying direct hearing, as noted previously, hadith 707. Busiri said, "This chain is defective, and the correct version is..." It has corroborating narrations, see hadith 720.
