She experienced prolonged abnormal bleeding during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am bleeding severely and abnormally."He told her, "Pack yourself with cotton."She replied, "It is more severe than that. I am gushing blood profusely."He said, "Use a cloth binding. Consider yourself menstruating for six or seven days each month, according to Allah's knowledge, then perform a full bath, pray, and fast for the remaining twenty-three or twenty-four days. Delay the Dhuhr prayer and bring forward the Asr prayer, then perform one bath for both. Delay the Maghrib prayer and bring forward the Isha prayer, then perform one bath for both. This is the more preferable of the two options to me."

أنها استحيضت على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فأتت رسول الله ﷺ فقالت إني استحضت حيضة منكرة شديدة قال لها احتشي كرسفا قالت له إنه أشد من ذلك إني أثج ثجا قال تلجمي وتحيضي في كل شهر في علم الله ستة أيام أو سبعة أيام ثم اغتسلي غسلا فصلي وصومي ثلاثة وعشرين أو أربعة وعشرين وأخري الظهر وقدمي العصر واغتسلي لهما غسلا وأخري المغرب وعجلي العشاء واغتسلي لهما غسلا وهذا أحب الأمرين إلي
