Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I am a woman who experiences continuous bleeding and never becomes pure. Should I abandon the prayer?"He replied, "No, that is only a vein, not menstruation. When your menstruation begins, leave the prayer, and when it ends, wash the blood from yourself and pray."This is the wording of Waki's hadith.

Muslim included it in the Book of Menstruation, chapter on the woman with prolonged bleeding, her washing and her prayer, hadith no. 333, from the hadith of Waki and Hammad bin Zayd, with the same chain.
