The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Neither one in a state of major ritual impurity nor a menstruating woman may recite the Quran."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا إسمعيل بن عياش حدثنا موسى بن عقبة عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يقرأ القرآن الجنب ولا الحائض
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on Purification, in the section on what has been said about the menstruating woman and the one in a state of major ritual impurity, that neither of them may recite the Quran, hadith 131, from the hadith of Ismail, with the same wording.Musa is from Madinah, and Ismail's narration from the people of Hijaz is daif, as stated in Tahdhib and other works, while he is hasan al-hadith when narrating from the people of his own land, the Syrians.
