The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the top and bottom of the leather socks.
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا ثور بن يزيد عن رجاء بن حيوة عن وراد كاتب المغيرة بن شعبة
أن رسول الله ﷺ مسح أعلى الخف وأسفله
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Purification, Chapter on How to Wipe, no. 165, from the hadith of Walid, with this chain, and Tirmidhi, no. 97, and it contains the defect of disconnection, along with the tadlis of Walid bin Muslim.
