Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Wudu, chapter "If He Puts His Feet In While They Are Clean," 201, and Muslim in the Book of Purification, chapter "Wiping Over the Socks," hadith 274, from the hadith of Layth in a similar wording, and Muslim also narrated it from Muhammad bin Rumh and others in a similar wording.
