He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Through the intercession of one man from my nation, more people will enter Paradise than the descendants of Banu Tamim."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, other than yourself?"He replied, "Other than myself."I asked him, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ yourself?"He answered, "I heard it myself."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عفان حدثنا وهيب حدثنا خالد عن عبد الله بن شقيق
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول ليدخلن الجنة بشفاعة رجل من أمتي أكثر من بني تميم قالوا يا رسول الله سواك قال سواي قلت أنت سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ قال أنا سمعته
[Its isnad is sahih] Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book on the Description of the Resurrection, chapter on the entry of seventy thousand without reckoning and some of those who will be interceded for, hadith no. 2438, from the hadith of Khalid Haddan with the same wording, and he said, "Hasan sahih gharib."
