The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us at Nabawah, or Banawah. The narrator said that Nabawah is a place near Taif. He said, "You are about to recognize the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire."They asked, "How is that, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "By good praise and bad praise. You are Allah's witnesses over one another."
Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad reported it (from Yazid, as in Atraf Musnad, 6/231), and Abd bin Humayd in Al-Muntakhab, no. 442, from the hadith of Yazid, through the same route. Busiri and Ibn Hibban (2059) graded it sahih, as did Hakim (12/120, 436) and Dhahabi, while Hafiz graded it hasan in Al-Isabah. It has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, Muslim, and others.
