The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty is part of faith, and faith leads to Paradise. Obscenity is part of harshness, and harshness leads to the Fire."
حدثنا إسمعيل بن موسى حدثنا هشيم عن منصور عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ الحياء من الإيمان والإيمان في الجنة والبذاء من الجفاء والجفاء في النار
[Sahih]. Qudai reported it in Musnad Shihab 1/124, no. 156, from the hadith of Ismail bin Musa through this route, and Saeed bin Sulayman corroborated him, as found in Bukhari's Adab al-Mufrad, no. 1314. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 24, as did Hakim, 1/52, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It has very many corroborating narrations.
