The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The word of wisdom is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he has the greatest right to it."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الوهاب حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن إبراهيم بن الفضل عن سعيد المقبري
قال رسول الله ﷺ الكلمة الحكمة ضالة المؤمن حيثما وجدها فهو أحق بها
[Its chain of transmission is very daif] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Knowledge, chapter on what has been said regarding the superiority of religious understanding over worship, no. 2687, from the hadith of Ibn Numayr, with this wording, and he said, "Gharib," and see no. 2545, regarding the status of Ibrahim bin Fadl.
