The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you who the people of Paradise are? Every weak person who is regarded as lowly. Shall I tell you who the people of Hell are? Every harsh, greedy, arrogant person."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي حدثنا سفيان عن معبد بن خالد قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ ألا أنبئكم بأهل الجنة كل ضعيف متضعف ألا أنبئكم بأهل النار كل عتل جواظ مستكبر
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tafsir, Chapter: "Rude, moreover, of doubtful birth," hadith no. 6071, 4918, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Paradise and Its Delights, Chapter: The Fire Is Entered by the Tyrannical and Paradise Is Entered by the Weak, hadith no. 47/2853, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with this wording.
