The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever narrates a hadith from me while believing it to be false is himself one of the liars."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عن ميمون بن أبي شبيب
قال رسول الله ﷺ من حدث عني بحديث وهو يرى أنه كذب فهو أحد الكاذبين
It was narrated by Muslim, in the Introduction, chapter on the obligation of narrating only from trustworthy sources, etc., from Ibn Abu Shayba, with this wording, and in it from Shuba and Sufyan from Habib... etc.
