The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until you fight a people with small eyes and broad faces, as if their eyes were the pupils of locusts and their faces were hammered shields. They will wear sandals of hair, carry leather shields, and tie their horses to palm trees."
حدثنا الحسن بن عرفة حدثنا عمار بن محمد عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقوم الساعة حتى تقاتلوا قوما صغار الأعين عراض الوجوه كأن أعينهم حدق الجراد كأن وجوههم المجان المطرقة ينتعلون الشعر ويتخذون الدرق يربطون خيلهم بالنخل
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it in 3/31 from Ammar with this chain, and Abu Ubayda Abdul-Malik bin Maen corroborated him, as found in Ibn Hibban, no. 1872, and Busiri graded it hasan. It has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, no. 2928, 3587, and elsewhere.
