I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The Hour will not come until the sun rises from its place of setting. When it rises and people see it, everyone on earth will believe. But that is the moment when faith will no longer benefit a soul that did not believe beforehand."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عمارة بن القعقاع عن أبي زرعة
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تقوم الساعة حتى تطلع الشمس من مغربها فإذا طلعت ورآها الناس آمن من عليها فذلك حين لا ينفع نفسا إيمانها لم تكن آمنت من قبل
Reported by Bukhari, in the Book of Tafsir, chapter "No soul will benefit from its faith," Hadith 4635, from the hadith of Umara through this route, and Muslim, in the Book of Faith, chapter on the explanation of the time when faith is no longer accepted, Hadith 157, from Ibn Abu Shayba through this route.
