Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "When Allah intends to destroy a servant, He strips modesty from him. Once modesty is stripped from him, you will find him nothing but loathsome and detested. Once you find him nothing but loathsome and detested, trustworthiness is stripped from him. Once trustworthiness is stripped from him, you will find him nothing but treacherous and accused of treachery. Once you find him nothing but treacherous and accused of treachery, mercy is stripped from him. Once mercy is stripped from him, you will find him nothing but cursed and damned. And once you find him nothing but cursed and damned, the bond of Islam is stripped from him."

عن ابن عمر

أن النبي ﷺ قال إن الله عز وجل إذا أراد أن يهلك عبدا نزع منه الحياء فإذا نزع منه الحياء لم تلقه إلا مقيتا ممقتا فإذا لم تلقه إلا مقيتا ممقتا نزعت منه الأمانة فإذا نزعت منه الأمانة لم تلقه إلا خائنا مخونا فإذا لم تلقه إلا خائنا مخونا نزعت منه الرحمة فإذا نزعت منه الرحمة لم تلقه إلا رجيما ملعنا فإذا لم تلقه إلا رجيما ملعنا نزعت منه ربقة الإسلام
