The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to address the people and said, "By Allah, I do not fear for you, people, anything except the worldly riches that Allah will pour out before you."A man said to him, "Messenger of Allah, can good bring forth evil?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent for a while, then asked, "What did you say?"The man replied, "I said, can good bring forth evil?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Good brings only good. But is it truly good? Everything that the spring growth produces either kills through bloating or comes close to it, except for the animal that eats the green herbs. It eats until, when its flanks are filled, it turns toward the sun, passes its dung and urine, then chews the cud and returns to eat again. So whoever takes wealth by its rightful due, it will be blessed for him, but whoever takes wealth without right is like one who eats and is never satisfied."
حدثنا عيسى بن حماد المصري أنبأنا الليث بن سعد عن سعيد المقبري عن عياض بن عبد الله أنه سمع
قام رسول الله ﷺ فخطب الناس فقال لا والله ما أخشى عليكم أيها الناس إلا ما يخرج الله لكم من زهرة الدنيا فقال له رجل يا رسول الله أيأتي الخير بالشر فسكت رسول الله ﷺ ساعة ثم قال كيف قلت قال قلت وهل يأتي الخير بالشر فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن الخير لا يأتي إلا بخير أو خير هو إن كل ما ينبت الربيع يقتل حبطا أو يلم إلا آكلة الخضر أكلت حتى إذا امتلأت امتدت خاصرتاها استقبلت الشمس فثلطت وبالت ثم اجترت فعادت فأكلت فمن يأخذ مالا بحقه يبارك له ومن يأخذ مالا بغير حقه فمثله كمثل الذي يأكل ولا يشبع
