The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for one who has no ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah over it."
حدثنا أبو كريب وعبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم قالا حدثنا ابن أبي فديك حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن أبي عبد الله عن يعقوب بن سلمة الليثي عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا صلاة لمن لا وضوء له ولا وضوء لمن لم يذكر اسم الله عليه
[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud reported it in his chapter on Purification, in the section on saying "Bismillah" before wudu, hadith 101, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Musa, with this chain. Yaqub Al-Laythi and his father are both obscure narrators, not known.
