[Its chain is daif] Tirmidhi recorded it in the Book of Zuhd, chapter "The hadith that among the excellence of a person's Islam is his leaving what does not concern him," hadith no. 2317, from the hadith of Uzai, and he said, gharib. Baghawi also recorded it (Sharh al-Sunnah, 14/320, hadith no. 4132) with a sahih chain, from Uzai, "Qurra bin Abdul-Rahman bin Haywil narrated to me, Zuhri narrated to me, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman narrated to me, Abu Hurairah narrated to me," and so on to the end. Nawawi graded it hasan in al-Arbain, and it has supporting evidence, though the majority of scholars declared Qurra daif.
