Someone said to Ibn Umar, "We enter upon our rulers and say one thing, but when we leave we say something different."He replied, "In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we used to count that as hypocrisy."

قيل لابن عمر إنا ندخل على أمرائنا فنقول القول فإذا خرجنا قلنا غيره قال كنا نعد ذلك على عهد رسول الله ﷺ النفاق
Sourcing, sahih. Ahmad narrated it, 2/105, from Layla, and Abu Khalid Sulayman bin Hayan corroborated him (Kubra of Nasai, 5/231, hadith 8759). It has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, hadith 7178, and Ahmad, 2/69, and others. Busiri graded the hadith sahih.
