The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Indeed, the most sacred of days is this day of yours. Indeed, the most sacred of months is this month of yours. Indeed, the most sacred of lands is this land of yours. Indeed, your blood and your wealth are sacred to you, just as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Have I conveyed the message?"They replied, "Yes."He said, "O Allah, bear witness."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا عيسى بن يونس حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ في حجة الوداع ألا إن أحرم الأيام يومكم هذا ألا وإن أحرم الشهور شهركم هذا ألا وإن أحرم البلد بلدكم هذا ألا وإن دماءكم وأموالكم عليكم حرام كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا ألا هل بلغت قالوا نعم قال اللهم اشهد
Graded sahih. Ahmad transmitted it, 3/80, 371, from the hadith of Isa bin Yunus, with this chain, and Busiri graded it sahih. Amash used the ambiguous form "an" in his transmission, and Waki narrated it from him as a mursal report in his Juz, hadith 34. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Muslim, hadith 1218, and elsewhere.
