Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up during the night, he would say, "Praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection."
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن ربعي بن حراش
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا انتبه من الليل قال الحمد لله الذي أحيانا بعد ما أماتنا وإليه النشور
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on Supplications, in the section on what one says upon lying down to sleep, hadith no. 6324/6312, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, through this same chain.
