Abu Bakr reported,

When the Prophet ﷺ passed away, Abu Bakr stood up and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in this very spot last year." Then Abu Bakr wept, then said, "Hold fast to truthfulness, for it goes hand in hand with righteousness, and the two are in Paradise. Beware of lying, for it goes hand in hand with wickedness, and the two are in the Fire. Ask Allah for well-being, for after certainty of faith, no one has been given anything better than well-being. Do not envy one another, do not hate one another, do not sever ties, and do not turn your backs on one another. Be servants of Allah, brothers to each other."

حدثنا أبو بكر وعلي بن محمد قالا حدثنا عبيد بن سعيد قال سمعت شعبة عن يزيد بن خمير قال سمعت سليم بن عامر يحدث عن أوسط بن إسمعيل البجلي أنه

سمع أبا بكر

حين قبض النبي ﷺ يقول قام رسول الله ﷺ في مقامي هذا عام الأول ثم بكى أبو بكر ثم قال عليكم بالصدق فإنه مع البر وهما في الجنة وإياكم والكذب فإنه مع الفجور وهما في النار وسلوا الله المعافاة فإنه لم يؤت أحد بعد اليقين خيرا من المعافاة ولا تحاسدوا ولا تباغضوا ولا تقاطعوا ولا تدابروا وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا
