The Prophet ﷺ reported that the two of them used to perform ablution together for the prayer.

[Sahih] Its chain of transmission is daif because of Habib's use of "an" (indicating a possible break in transmission), but the text itself is sahih, and it has many supporting routes. He engages frequently in tadlis (Tabaqat al-Mudallisin, third category).
