Men and women would perform ablution together from a single vessel during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا مالك بن أنس حدثني نافع
كان الرجال والنساء يتوضئون على عهد رسول الله ﷺ من إناء واحد
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Wudu, in the chapter on a man performing wudu with his wife and the merit of a woman's wudu, with this chain, hadith no. 193, from the hadith of Malik.
