The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man to bathe with the water left over from a woman's ablution, or a woman to bathe with the water left over from a man's, but they should both draw from it together.Abu Abdullah bin Majah said, "The correct version is the first one, and the second is a mistake."Abu al-Hasan bin Salama said, Abu Hatim and Abu Uthman al-Muharibi narrated to us, both saying, Mualla bin Asad narrated to us a similar report.

نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يغتسل الرجل بفضل وضوء المرأة والمرأة بفضل الرجل ولكن يشرعان جميعا قال أبو عبد الله بن ماجة الصحيح هو الأول والثاني وهم قال أبو الحسن بن سلمة حدثنا أبو حاتم وأبو عثمان المحاربي قالا حدثنا المعلى بن أسد نحوه
[Its chain is sahih] Daraqutni reported it, 1/116, 118, from the hadith of Abu Hatim Razi through this route. Shubah reported it from Asim through this route as a stopped narration (mawquf), and Daraqutni said, "This mawquf version is sahih, and it is more likely to be correct."
