The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who mistreats those under his authority will not enter Paradise."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, did you not tell us that this nation will have more slaves and orphans than any other nation?"He replied, "Yes. So treat them with the same kindness you show your own children, and feed them from what you eat yourselves."They asked, "Then what will benefit us in this world?"He answered, "A horse you keep tethered to fight upon in the cause of Allah. As for your slave, he is enough to serve you, and once he prays, he is your brother."
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the chapters on righteousness and kinship, chapter on what has been mentioned about kindness to servants, hadith no. 1946, from the hadith of Farqad, with this wording, and he said it is unusual, and Busiri graded it daif. See also hadith no. 1781 concerning the status of Farqad.
