The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The cat does not interrupt the prayer, for it is part of the household."

[Its chain is hasan] Ibn Adi narrated it in 4/1586, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Bashshar Bundar with this wording, and Hakim graded it sahih in 1/254, 255, as did Dhahabi and Ibn Khuzayma. Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Zinad is hasan in respect of his hadith, as I have established in Nur al-Aynayn fi Ithbat Rafi al-Yadayn.
