I had covered a small alcove of mine, meaning the inner recess, with a curtain that had figures on it. When the Prophet ﷺ arrived, he tore it down. I then made two cushions out of it, and I saw the Prophet ﷺ reclining on one of them.

[Its isnad is hasan]. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing, Chapter on treading upon images, hadith no. 5954, and Muslim in the Book of Clothing and Adornment, Chapter on the prohibition of depicting the image of an animal, etc., hadith no. 92/2107, 95, from the hadith of Ibn Qasim, with it, with different wordings but the same meaning, and it has several routes of transmission in both of their collections.
