I used to part the hair at the crown of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ head, then let his forelock hang down.

[Hasan] It is found in al-Musannaf: 8/262. Its chain of transmission is daif. Ibn Ishaq is a mudallis and narrated using "an," as mentioned previously, hadith: 1209, but the rest of the chain is hasan. It has a hasan corroborating narration in Abu Dawud, hadith: 4189.
