The Prophet of Allah ﷺ entered a thicket and relieved himself. Jareer brought him a vessel of water, and he cleaned himself with it and wiped his hand on the earth.

أن نبي الله ﷺ دخل الغيضة فقضى حاجته فأتاه جرير بإداوة من ماء فاستنجى منها ومسح يده بالتراب

[hasan] Nasai reported it: 1/45, Purification, chapter on rubbing the hand on the ground after cleaning oneself, no. 51, from the hadith of Aban with this wording, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih: 1/47, and no. 89.Ibrahim is truthful, but he did not hear from his father, and the hadith has many corroborating narrations.
