The Prophet ﷺ relieved himself, then cleansed himself with water from a small vessel, then rubbed his hand on the ground.Abu al-Hasan bin Salama said, Abu Hatim narrated to us, Saeed bin Sulayman al-Wasiti narrated to us, from Sharik, something similar.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وعلي بن محمد قالا حدثنا وكيع عن شريك عن إبراهيم بن جرير عن أبي زرعة بن عمرو بن جرير
أن النبي ﷺ قضى حاجته ثم استنجى من تور ثم دلك يده بالأرض قال أبو الحسن بن سلمة حدثنا أبو حاتم حدثنا سعيد بن سليمان الواسطي عن شريك نحوه
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter "A Man Rubbing His Hand on the Ground When He Cleans Himself After Relieving Himself," hadith no. 45, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih.
