The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو أسامة ح و حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير جميعا عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الذي يجر ثوبه من الخيلاء لا ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Clothing and Adornment, Chapter on the Prohibition of Dragging One's Garment Out of Pride, and an Explanation of the Limit to Which It May Be Lowered and What Is Recommended, h. 2085, from Ibn Abu Shayba with this chain. Bukhari mentioned it as a suspended narration, h. 5791, through the hadith of Layth from Nafi with this chain. It has other chains in Bukhari, Muslim, and other collections.
