I visited Ayesha, and she brought out for me a thick lower garment of the kind made in Yemen and a cloak of the type called al-mulabbadah. She swore to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away wearing these two garments.

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Fifth of the Spoils, in the chapter on what has been mentioned regarding the Prophet's ﷺ coat of mail, his staff, his sword, his cup, and his ring, etc., hadith no. 3108, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Clothing, in the chapter on humility in dress, etc., hadith no. 2080, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Mughira, through him.
