Abu Layla reported,

I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when an Arabi came to him and said, "I have a brother who is ill."The Prophet asked, "What ails your brother?"He replied, "He suffers from a touch of madness."The Prophet said, "Go and bring him to me."So the man went and brought him, and the Prophet seated him before himself. I heard him recite over the man for protection the Opening of the Book, four verses from the beginning of Baqarah, two verses from its middle, "And your God is one God" [Baqarah 2:163], the Verse of the Throne, three verses from its end, a verse from Al Imran, which I believe was "Allah bears witness that there is no god but He" [Al Imran 3:18], a verse from Araf, "Indeed your Lord is Allah, who created" [Araf 7:54], and what follows it, a verse from Muminun, "And whoever invokes besides Allah another god for which he has no proof" [Muminun 23:117], a verse from Jinn, "And exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son" [Jinn 72:3], ten verses from the beginning of Saffat, three verses from the end of Hashr, "Say, He is Allah, the One" [Ikhlas 112:1], and the two surahs of refuge.Then the Arabi stood up completely cured, with nothing at all wrong with him.

عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى عن أبيه أبي ليلى قال

كنت جالسا عند النبي ﷺ إذ جاءه أعرابي فقال إن لي أخا وجعا قال ما وجع أخيك قال به لمم قال اذهب فأتني به قال فذهب فجاء به فأجلسه بين يديه فسمعته عوذه بفاتحة الكتاب وأربع آيات من أول البقرة وآيتين من وسطها {وإلهكم إله واحد} وآية الكرسي وثلاث آيات من خاتمتها وآية من آل عمران أحسبه قال {شهد الله أنه لا إله إلا هو} وآية من الأعراف {إن ربكم الله الذي خلق} الآية وآية من المؤمنين {ومن يدع مع الله إلها آخر لا برهان له به} وآية من الجن {وأنه تعالى جد ربنا ما اتخذ صاحبة ولا ولدا} وعشر آيات من أول الصافات وثلاث آيات من آخر الحشر وقل هو الله أحد والمعوذتين فقام الأعرابي قد برأ ليس به بأس
