The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I did not pass by any group of angels on the night of my Ascension except that they all said to me, 'Muhammad, you must practice cupping.'"
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Medicine, chapter on cupping, hadith 2053, from the hadith of Abbad at length, and said, hasan, ghareeb. Hakim graded it sahih (4/209), but Dhahabi said, "Abbad has been declared daif by scholars." See also hadith 938.It has a corroborating witness in Tabarani's Awsat (3/53, hadith 2102), but it contains Qatada, who narrated with an ambiguous chain (anana). There is another corroborating witness in Bazzar's Kashf Astar (30/388, hadith 3020), but its isnad is daif because of Abdullah bin Salih, the scribe of Layth. Haythami mentioned it in Majma (5/91), noting an error in the naming of the companion.
