The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whatever intoxicates in large amounts, a small amount of it is forbidden."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم حدثنا أنس بن عياض حدثني داود بن بكر عن محمد بن المنكدر
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما أسكر كثيره فقليله حرام
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in Ashribah, chapter on what has been said about intoxicants, no. 3681, from the hadith of Dawud bin Bakr with this wording. Tirmidhi said, no. 1865, hasan gharib. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 860. It also has another route in Ibn Hibban (al-Ihsan), 7/379, no. 5358.
