The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever eats a meal and then says, 'Praise be to Allah who has fed me this and provided it for me without any power or strength on my part,' his past sins will be forgiven."
[Its chain is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the book of Clothing, the chapter on what one says when wearing a new garment, no. 4023, through the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Ayub with this wording. Tirmidhi narrated it, no. 3458, and said it is hasan gharib. Ibn Hajar graded it hasan, and Hakim graded it sahih in 4/192, 193, but Dhahabi disputed this, though his objection is outweighed.
