The Prophet ﷺ forbade eating any predatory animal with fangs.Zuhri said, "I had not heard this ruling until I entered Sham."
حدثنا محمد بن الصباح أنبأنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري أخبرني أبو إدريس الخولاني
أن النبي ﷺ نهى عن أكل كل ذي ناب من السباع قال الزهري ولم أسمع بهذا حتى دخلت الشام
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Medicine, Chapter on the Milk of Female Donkeys, hadith 5780, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals, Chapter on the Prohibition of Eating Every Fanged Predator and Every Bird with Talons, 12/1932, from the hadith of Sufyan through this same chain.
