The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two kinds of dead creatures have been made lawful for us, fish and Jarad."
حدثنا أبو مصعب حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن زيد بن أسلم عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أحلت لنا ميتتان الحوت والجراد
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 2/97, from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman, and through him it is daif as mentioned before, no. 238. His two brothers, Usamah and Abdullah, corroborated him (Bayhaqi 1/254). Bayhaqi narrated with a sahih chain from Abdullah bin Umar, who said, "Two dead animals and two bloods have been made lawful for us, locusts and fish, and the liver and the spleen." He said, "This chain is sahih," and this report carries the same ruling as one traced directly back to the Prophet.
