We went on the expedition of Khaybar with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When evening came, the people had lit fires, and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "What are you cooking?"They replied, "The meat of domestic donkeys."He said, "Pour out what is in the pots and break them."A man from the group asked, "Or shall we pour out what is in them and wash them?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "That will do as well."
حدثنا يعقوب بن حميد بن كاسب حدثنا المغيرة بن عبد الرحمن عن يزيد بن أبي عبيد
غزونا مع رسول الله ﷺ غزوة خيبر فأمسى الناس قد أوقدوا النيران فقال النبي ﷺ علام توقدون قالوا على لحوم الحمر الإنسية فقال أهريقوا ما فيها واكسروها فقال رجل من القوم أو نهريق ما فيها ونغسلها فقال النبي ﷺ أو ذاك
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Sacrifices and Hunting, Chapter on the Vessels of the Magians and Carrion, Hadith: 5497, and others. Also Muslim, Book of Jihad, Chapter on the Expedition of Khaybar, Hadith 1802, after Hadith 1365, from the hadith of Yazid, with this wording.
