The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it. It stands at one of the gates of Paradise, while Ayr stands at one of the gates of Hell."
Its isnad is daif. Ibn Adi reported it, 4/1539, from the hadith of Hannad by this route. Busiri said, "This is a daif isnad, due to the tadlis of Ibn Ishaq and his teacher Abdullah bin Muktaf, who is weak, as stated in al-Kashif."I say, its first portion, "Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it," is sahih and agreed upon, [reported by] Bukhari, hadith 4083 and 4084, and Muslim, hadith 1393.
