I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The water of Zamzam is for whatever purpose it is drunk."

[Hasan]. Ahmad narrated it 3/357, 372 and elsewhere through various chains from Ibn Muammal, and Busiri graded it daif due to the weakness of Abdullah bin Muammal. Ibrahim bin Tahman followed him in narrating it, as recorded by Bayhaqi 5/202, but in the chain leading to him is Abu Muhammad Ahmad bin Ishaq bin Shayban Baghdadi, for whom we found no biography. The hadith has very many corroborating narrations, and because of these some scholars graded it sahih while others graded it hasan.
