Bilal bin Harith reported,

I asked, "Messenger of Allah, this conversion of Hajj into Umrah, is it for us specifically or for people in general?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Rather, it is for us specifically."

[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it, in the Book of Hajj Rites, Chapter on a man entering ihram for Hajj then making it Umrah, no. 1808, from the hadith of Darawardi, transmitted through him. Ahmad and others graded the hadith as daif.Harith bin Bilal is mastur (of unknown reliability).
