When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled in Makkah during the year of the Conquest, he circled the Kaabah on a camel, touching the corner with a curved staff in his hand. Then he entered the Kaabah and found inside it a wooden dove, which he broke. He then stood at the door of the Kaabah and threw it out, while I was watching him.

لما اطمأن رسول الله ﷺ عام الفتح طاف على بعير يستلم الركن بمحجن بيده ثم دخل الكعبة فوجد فيها حمامة عيدان فكسرها ثم قام على باب الكعبة فرمى بها وأنا أنظره
