It is as though I can still see the gleam of perfume in the parting of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ hair while he was reciting the talbiyah.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي الضحى عن مسروق
كأني أنظر إلى وبيص الطيب في مفارق رسول الله ﷺ وهو يلبي
Its takhrij, Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the desirability of applying perfume to the body just before ihram and the desirability of using musk for that... etc, hadith 1190/41, from the hadith of Waki, with the same chain.
