The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A banner will be raised for every traitor on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said, 'This is the treachery of so-and-so.'"
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا أبو الوليد حدثنا شعبة ح و حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن شعبة عن الأعمش عن أبي وائل
قال رسول الله ﷺ ينصب لكل غادر لواء يوم القيامة فيقال هذه غدرة فلان
Bukhari narrated it in "Jizya and Truce," chapter "The Sin of Treachery Toward the Righteous and the Wicked Alike," hadith no. 3186, from the hadith of Abu Walid. Muslim narrated it in "Jihad and Campaigns," chapter "The Prohibition of Treachery," hadith no. 1736, from Ibn Bashar, from the hadith of Shubah, through this same chain.
