A man from the tribe of Ashja died at Khaybar, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Pray over your companion."The people were taken aback by this, and their faces changed. When he saw their reaction, he said, "Your companion misappropriated something from the spoils taken in the cause of Allah."Zayd said, "So we searched through his belongings and found some beads from the beads of the Jews, worth no more than two dirhams."

توفي رجل من أشجع بخيبر فقال النبي ﷺ صلوا على صاحبكم فأنكر الناس ذلك وتغيرت له وجوههم فلما رأى ذلك قال إن صاحبكم غل في سبيل الله قال زيد فالتمسوا في متاعه فإذا خرزات من خرز يهود ما تساوي درهمين
Its chain is hasan. Abu Dawud narrated it, in jihad, chapter on the severity of misappropriating war booty, hadith 2710, from the hadith of Yahya, through the same route. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith 1081, as did Ibn Hibban (in Mawarid), hadith 4833, and Hakim, according to the criteria of the two sheikhs, 2/127, and Dhahabi agreed with him.I say, Abu Amrah Ansari was not narrated from by Bukhari or Muslim, but Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and others deemed him reliable, and Dhahabi said, He is truthful. Munziri indicated that his hadith should be graded hasan, so he is not unknown, rather his hadith is hasan.
