Sourcing, Muslim narrated it in the book of jihad, chapter on the dislike of seeking help from a disbeliever in warfare except when necessary, etc., hadith no. 1817, from the hadith of Malik, from Fudayl bin Abu Abdullah, from Abdullah bin Niyar Aslami, from Urwa with similar wording, etc.Abu Dawud likewise narrated it, hadith no. 2732, as did Tirmidhi, hadith no. 1558, who said it is hasan gharib, and others narrated it from Malik with similar wording, and this is the correct view.Mizzi said, regarding the chain of Ibn Majah, this is what he has, and it is a gross confusion, and the correct view is what has already been mentioned (Tuhfat Ashraf 13/12).
