The banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was black and his standard was white.
حدثنا عبد الله بن إسحق الواسطي الناقد حدثنا يحيى بن إسحق عن يزيد بن حيان سمعت أبا مجلز
أن راية رسول الله ﷺ كانت سوداء ولواؤه أبيض
[Hasan] Reported by Tirmidhi, in the chapter on jihad, section on what has been mentioned about banners, hadith no. 1681, from the hadith of Yahya bin Ishaq with this wording, and he said, "Hasan gharib."Abu Majliz does not practice tadlis, as verified by Hafiz in Nukat, 2/638, and his student's hadith is hasan, deemed reliable by the majority. The preceding hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it.
