The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was holding an Arab bow when he saw a man carrying a Persian bow. He said, "What is this? Throw it away. Stick to bows like this one and to spears of qana wood, for through them Allah will strengthen you in the religion and establish you firmly in the lands."
حدثنا محمد بن إسمعيل بن سمرة أنبأنا عبيد الله بن موسى عن أشعث بن سعيد عن عبد الله بن بسر عن أبي راشد
كانت بيد رسول الله ﷺ قوس عربية فرأى رجلا بيده قوس فارسية فقال ما هذه ألقها وعليكم بهذه وأشباهها ورماح القنا فإنهما يزيد الله لكم بهما في الدين ويمكن لكم في البلاد
